The business had a few owners since 1983, but in 2006 Francois and Elmarie Smit bought it. With a little knowledge of running a business, lots of enthusiasm, and an excellent team of workers with so much expertise between them, we faced this new challenge.

Today we offer you a wide range of services in this industry and manufacture most of our components in Stilbaai. What we don’t manufacture under our roof, we source to offer you the best services and materials. At Kloof Houtwerke we use top quality material. Our hardware is sourced from the best, such as Blum, Grass, Hafele, PG Bison, Sonae Novobord, Niemann SA, etc. We want you as our customer to be satisfied with the quality, manufacturing, and design. We cater to larger-scale residential developments, commercial projects, private homes and as small as a door, window or cupboard. Since 2006, our business had grown from strength to strength. We work mostly from referrals and many of our clients have been with us for many years. We are thankful for this company, our team, and our clients.

We provide a design service that includes a quote and a preliminary design. Included is a consultation at your home or at the workshop. We will provide concept drawings and a quote, based on our discussion with you. We know that there may be a need to make modifications to the design.
